• Driveshaft question...

Hey guys...
Quick question...is the stock steel driveshaft out of a 2000 3.8 'bird (one-piece) balanced? I'm lookin' for a replacement for my unbalanced LT1 shaft. (And Mike24 won't let me have his 1LE ) Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Yup, they are prebalanced.

So I could correct the 'vibe-shaft' problem common with pre-97 f-bodies by using the 2000 v6 shaft?

you sure could! And the stock steel shafts are pretty strong...

If it isnt strong enough, SLP has a lightweight steel shaft online for $299.

Looks pretty nice to me, but its no $50 shaft.
