yea it should drop in just fine. It will probly be a good gear. YOu have a manual right? Speedo will be off a bit and you will hit rev limiter faster but other than that it should help.

Uhmmm, if you have 3.08's right now, it won't just "Drop in".. 3.08's have a 2 series carrier, 3.42's require a 3 series carrier.

Check your codes first before you buy gears that you may already have. You need to look for Y87 or GU6.

And yes, the 3.42s will definatly help your 1/4 mile times

Young, unless if you are willing to get something to correct your shift points, changing gears in an auto isn't a great idea.

Your going to get your shift points all messed up and potentially cause some problems. Some have had problems, other have not. I don't think its worth gambling on myself with so much else you could do.

Do a little suspension & tire upgrading. Get a maft+ & autotap or obdII, do some searches. If you really wanted to go all out, maybe a torque converter.

Do some searches, 3.42's are pretty dang good for drag racing, your going to hurt your top end w/ 3.73's, and if you have problems hooking right now w/ 3.42's (and I mean any problem at all), its just going to get worse w/ 3.73's. Then you won't have a top end to make up for it either.
