  • Update on problems...

For those that don't know my problem, put new clutch in, has like 3k miles on it, trip to track, clutch drop at 3500, and loud bang, car was farked. Shifter didn't work in any gear. had hard time pushing it and unloading off the flatbed.

-couldn't get driveshaft out to test if its the 10-bolt
-dropped rear, got driveshaft out of 10-bolt, 10-bolt spins freely by hand, tranny doesn't with it in neutral.

-rear is dropped(just panhard, lcas and brake lines still connected)
-car topped out on jackstands(heard it will make easier on tranny pull.

I am leaning towards tranny, I don't think its a clutch problem. Tranny is in neutral, and I canot turn the driveshaft without a big as prybar.

And GOOD NEWS, I can't get the driveshaft out of the tail of the tranny, can't even pry it out with a 1.5 foot pry bar. (comes out by hand usually). and no its not binded up by sagging.

Any tips on pulling the slip yoke from the drivesahft, I wanna sell this *****, even if I have to take a loss on the slip yoke, because the driveshaft is fine.

If the transmission is farked then I suppose the output shaft got bent or out of align which is why you can't get the yoke out? I would think once the transmission is out it will be easier to get some leverage on that yoke.

thats what I am assuming... I am pretty worried I am getting at the transmission at good angles, I have alot of room under the car.

ohh well worst case I'll cut the yoke off and sell it for less or get another yoke for it myself.
