  • edge converter supposed to stall at 3600 but only stalls 2500 max please help

when im at a stop i hold the brake down and hit the gas, well when it reaches around 2500 the tires start rolling, i thought this was supposed to stall at 3600. well even with nittos it only goes around 2500 but the difference is i cant slowly apin the tires because when i do this the brakes wont stop the car, have to quicly hit the gas so it will stay still andre at edge said this is a 3600 stall and is the best for my car and will be this and that at the track, and if he changes anything i will lose severe mph. do you guys think this will be ok at the track? he said some converters are best to flash some are best to stall, and i should put it up to about 1300-1400 rpm and punch it, any opinions on this?

try flashing the converter. that'll tell you your true stall. it starting to spin at 2500 is just letting you know thats all your tires can handle for a stall.

my converter does the same thing. but it flashes around 3k. like its supposed to.

plus, edge converters are supposed to be flashed..

yea, brake stall and flash stall are 2 different readings. brake stall depends on ur tires as well as the converter. if the tires can't hold it, then it'll spin sooner, if they can, it'll hold at the flash stall or even higher.

i know what the difference between the two stalls are, you would just think that nitto drag radials would be able to hold pas 2500 rpm.
