  • rpm's w/ lighter driveshaft?

since the car will need to put out less power to overcome the rotational weight of a 1LE driveshaft instead of a stock one, how many rpm's will it drop from my cruising speed(70-85 mph)?

None, RPM have nothing to do with the weight of the car.

I second that. You may need less gas, to turn everything, but the rpms will stay the same.

When the torque converter is locked up, it takes a set amount of rpms to turn the wheels a set amount of rpms. This is defined by your overall gear ratio, which includes your transmission gear ratio combined with the rear end gear ratio and the tire diameter.

Weight, wind resistance, rolling friction, none of that affects the gear ratio, just affects the engine load.
