  • Differential fluid change?

Don't know if the original owner ever did it...whats the routine on this...every xx,000 miles?

Also, would you notice any gains by changing to a synthetic differential fluid ($10 more and get Red Line gear fluid)

    Thanks again guys

I usually change it every year but I know some change it sooner than that. I will change mine this summer. I use Royal Purple Synthetic which I threw in when I changed my differential in July so I think Synthetic lasts a bit longer anyways. I didn't notice a gain of any sort, but to be honest I'd rather use synthetic because it's less wear and tear on everything... plus Royal Purple Synthetic Gear Oil comes built in with Limited Slip addative (how sweet is that!?!) so when I threw in the Zexel Torsen piece, I just used that stuff and am definately satisfied.

Manual says to change every 40K on heavy driving, like city driving.

Can last a lil longer if its highway driving.

I changed mine at 47K then i blew out my rear end :(
