It will always be in higher rpms when you're on the gas. When crusing it will lock up.

Those are build for V8s so it will stall lower on your v6. You'll have to call their tech line to see what they can do for you. Any converter that stalls higher will give you better performance. Do you know how you punch if off the line and the car starts moving then it hits 3K moves even faster, then at 4K moves much faster. Well imagine being at 3K from the start and moving from the line like you're moving at 3K. Then your shifts won't drop as low. Let's say now you're dropping to 3.5K when starting 2nd, with a high stall you might be at 4K or 4.5K. Depending on the converter.

It's hard for me to recommend Yank with all their problems and poor customer service. I don't even know if they make ST anymore. PI would be a good choice. If you don't like your stall you can change it for free. Instal and removal might be a pain, but at least you're getting a free restall.

Better torque converters come with a higher stall. If it stalls the same as stock you're not going to notice a difference. I drove a PI 4200 stall around town and it felt fine. PI 3200 will do great. It's VERY streetable and will give you good gains. I don't own a 3.4 so I don't know where your TQ and HP peaks are. If you can provide me with a dyno graph of a 3.4 I could help you better. Where is your power band?

Dom thanks so much for your help without you and other like you i would be lost. I'm trying to locate one for i do not have any. (dyno Graphs) My worry is my car will feel like it's slipping badly. I already have a huge slippage problem as well as valve body messed up so i'm doing a full rebuild but also want to replace the converter my goal is to beat a gt 0-60 , or at least 0-45, however want to drive this everyday. whats are these PI converters you talking how about a link maybe, i hope there not to much. I'm still locating a dyno graph if i get one i 'll let you know
