• My torsen is installed!

Total Installation time: 1hour 45minutes
Labor cost: $130
Quality of work: Superb!
Misc. Stuff: $20 in gasket and limited slip additive.

This was an excellent install - it went in without a hitch even though I didn't do it myself. It was nice of them to use the synthetic 75W-90 I brought, and they even pointed out for 00-02 V8s how the torsen can make a clicking sound if you dont add the LSD additive - so for $5 I dont have any clicking .

Grabbing power is immense - no more one wheel wonders, not to mention taking a corner is sooo much stronger now!

After breaking it in for a good many miles my friends and I went and spun some donuts in celebration - it was hilarious even though I tore the GAs up a bit =) (what else are they good for)

Anyways - Just wanted to let everyone know about the good news. If you want yours installed like this, just let me know and I can hook you guys up .

I bought the SLP Takeoff Zexel-Torsen - I am opposed to clutchpacks for cars with less than 450-500hp.

I had them use a GM gasket, it was around $15 but its GM and Ive got a lifetime warranty on my rearend now that its been swapped out by GM using all GM parts (except the Valvoline Gear Dope).
