I had my tranny(4L60-E)rebuilt about 5 months ago and I refuse to think that it already failed again. When I'm driving normally sometimes my tranny will go 1st-2nd-N. I manually shift down to 2nd and It grabs the gear and then I can get 3rd if I going fast enough and shift up. I generally does it when I driving really slow like in moderate traffic. Anyone knows if it is the tranny or if the converter could be the problem? This all started the morning after I was street racing and smoke started to come from underneath the car as if something overheated.

...if I completely stop and go again the transmission will shift fine most of the time. Just another detail.
