  • need help asap!!!

thursday night as i was driving home from work, my rear wheels locked up on me. i thought it had something to do with the gears or the differential, but i have swapped all that and it still won't go. well..it goes in reverse, but not forward. when i have the trans in neutral and the wheels, rotors, and calipers off, i can spin everything freely, but once i get it all back together, only reverse. any ideas?

welllll I thought the transmission controlled all of that.

Have you done any transmission mods? B&M or anything like that?

Sounds like you need to take it to a tranny shop.

it's not the tranny, the car tries to pull in drive, but something is locking the rear wheels up. i think it may be the e-brake binding or the calipers shifting, but i have to wait for my caliper to get back from wherever my cousin went before i can find out for sure.

and people wonder why my POSI is going to be professionally installed..its either the gears or the LSD id bet moeny..i know a guy that had a 98 Z and had 4.10's put in...well to make a long story short they locked up and did the same thing as you are talking about... when it comes to the rear end of my car...only professionals will touch mine..id rather pay for the piece of mind..

sorry dude..hope everything works out for the best.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
