  • ABS Light after Differential Swap

'97 Firebird. Recently swapped out the differential, gears, and speed ring. I've driven it about 15 miles and the ABS light is still on. Any suggestions?

Sure that speed ring went in right (i'm that is what I call the reluctor ring) - abs sensor wire still plugged into pumpkin?
96 White M5 Camaro. Manual everything. Magnaflow cat, dynomax dual outlet axle back. Swapped to a disc rear with 3.42s and a torsen differential, kyb gr2 rear shocks, moog rear endlinks.

      Scan it for the codes.

Yep. The codes will tell you what the issue is... but a parts store scanner most likely won't be able to get ABS codes.

So I'll probably have to take it to a brake shop to get it scanned? All of the parts went in no problem.

You can buy a OBDII scanner for $30 but it won't pull ABS codes, Hptuners can't even do it. I've been without my ABS for over a year , just have to watch your braking. I'm thinking of ripping all the ABS stuff out and using a proportioning valve I have.
