The camaro is screwed! - Details inside -
So, I'm driving down the road tonight around midnight, not doing anything wrong or stupid and all of a sudden, I hear a couple pops, my speedometer stops working, and my ABS INOP light comes on. So I come to a stop, and see if it can move. It cant. It goes to maybe 1500 or 2000 rpm and goes nowhere, and the driveshaft doesn't spin I also have no parking gear, reverse doesnt work, etc. When i try to put it into park it just does the grinding sound then eventually stops. We had to pull it to a buddy's house and there it sets. Does anybody have any clue wtf this could be!? It showed no signs of the tranny going out before. :mad:

Can you describe the sound it makes? Is it like throwing a ball on a roulette table, where the sound is constant with the clicking or the noise at a constant interval, or like a random bouncing around of a chunk of something inside? Solid sounding, like a large chunk of whatever it is, or a light fan sound? closer to the engine, maybe like the torque converter, or definately in the tranny?Team NoVa

idk theres not really much of a sound, maybe a slight clicking when trying to change gears, and when i put it in park its just like trying to put it in park while moving, that sound. Jack the rear end up put it in neutral and try to turn the tires.
If its locked up undo the DS and try it again,if its still locked up its the rearend.
If its not it could be the tranny.Comment
