So I'm going to be getting a new tranny soon for my Camaro and before I put it in I was going to upgrade the clutch. So, I was just wondering who's got what and if you guys have any input on what I should go with. T-5 trans FYI.

    Re: Clutch

if you car is only bolt on's with no major power adders i would just go with a stock clutch...they are extremely strong.

if you have n/x or sc i would recomend the centerforce dual friction. i have it on my camaro and love it. she ripps like a bat out of he!l. she took at 125 shot of nitrous like nothing was going on, never slipped. and no chatter

      Re: Clutch

At the moment my car only has bolt ons. When spring rolls around I will be doing a cam swap and all that with a port and polish on the heads, and hopefully by next summer it will be turbo'd.

I went with the Dual Friction, suggested by Kristen. Only running mostly stock till this summer.

                  Re: Clutch

While I'm a big fan of "dual friction" clutch discs, I'm not a fan of the Centerforce pressure plate design mainly because I sometimes hear reports of the finger weights coming loose. I prefer McLeod clutches along with their version of a dual friction disc.

Does Mcleod have one for the t-5 transmission on the Camaro?

Skip the heads/cam and use the money towards a turbo kit.

Trust me on this, the amount of time and money you spend on the cam/heads and gaskets will get you a lot closer to that turbo kit and the turbo kit is going to give you enough power for a long while, even on a stock motor!

I have a Spec Stage 3 and haven't had any problems.
