  • Driveshaft Question

I want to get rid of my two piece stock driveshaft on my 94' Camaro. I was just curious if the driveshafts off of the 3.8 and lt1 would bolt right up and work without a problem to my 3.4. Thanks

3.8, yes. Not sure on the lt1 I think it will.

      Re: Driveshaft Question

So if I got a stock driveshaft off of a 3.8 would it be an upgrade since its a single piece? Or am I better off trying to buy an aftermarket one?

Yeah it would, the 2 piece is crap. Aluminum would be even better.

          Re: Driveshaft Question

ALL of the driveshafts are interchangeable.

you will be able to use the lt1 one in your car

                Re: Driveshaft Question

Just look for a used LS1 alm. driveshaft or 98+ 3.8 alm driveshafts off ebay or look at craigslist n your area. Should find one for about $100 plus shipping on ebay and craigslist maybe $50-$75, if you find someone in your area parting out a LS1. Also if you find someone in your area , you can see if you can pick up the rearend too, if its a 3 channel and a posi you might luck out.

if you buy aftermarket, you are going to spend close to $400 for a good driveshaft.

you can find good used aluminum driveshafts on ebay and ls1tech for around $100 or so. i got mine from a guy on ls1tech for $40 shipped to my house.. watch out and you will get a good deal on one

^ X2, I was lucky and got my alm. driveshaft free and even installed free along with a Torsen diff and 3.42's, well I paid $150 for the Torsen LSD and 3.42's but were installed for free. LOL
