  • car doesnt pick up speed at high rpms

ok so the other day i was driving on the freeway and when i went to speed up my rpm just went up like i was in N and the car barley would pick up speed. and when i am shifting the rpms go up to like 3k for a sec and then comes back down. i just had a new clutch put maybe 25k ago. also i notice when trying to speed up and the rpms going really high i could smell what seems like clucth burning. thanks in advance for the help

Although I don't have a 5spd, it sounds like your clutch is slipping.

it sounds like the slave cylinder isnt fully bled, it is hard to bleed them because of the design.

buy a mityvac and bleed it.
