This may seem like a stupid question, but will it hurt/help the tranny to just put in a corvette servo? would you notice any difference?

    Re: Corvette servo

1-2 shift will be firmer...don't think it will hurt the tranny...I got one in mine, and I like it. I noticed a difference as well...

I already have a B&M shift improver, will it be too much?

        Re: Corvette servo

naw...guys put these in with shift kits...the shift improver isn't really anything to be honest...don't mean to knock you, but it doesnt do much at all...but even with a shift kit a servo is worth while.

My car has a 3200 stall kit and a servo in it for what its worth...

              Re: Corvette servo

these seem to be the only threads I reply to on this site anymore. Get the servo it's a world of difference in the tranny. Got mine in a year ago when I blew up the tranny and like was already said 1-2 is firmer, shifts are a little quicker but the biggest benefit is the acceleration. If you ease into the gas like at highway speeds you don't need to depress the gas pedal nearly as much to get it to downshift from 4th to 3rd, meaning more room to put the pedal down once it downshifts.
Let's flip a coin. Heads I get tail, Tails I get head.

Ebay or some transmission parts sites sell them for a pretty good price.

The Louvres I got from wilpak industries but I don't think there around any more. I've seen them on RK sport you have to look for a 93-97 camaro. You can also google it thats how I found them the first time... I didn't realize I've disabled the PM I'll get to fixing it

Will it effect daily driving? Will the shifts be firmer at low rpms too?

so is this correct thing to buy?:

                            http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3D10%26ps%3D63

I have a trans go kit waiting to go in as well, so mine as well do both at the same time.

that looks like the one I got...I would double check with the guy and make sure it is from a 4L60e, even though I know it says it on the description...
