    Headlight Blackouts?

    Okay folks, here's the deal.

    Ordered some headlight blackouts from jcw, and finally got them the other day. Apparently they are AVS brand and the instructions say I have to put velcro tabs on my paint! [img]graemlins/crybaby.gif[/img]

    Anybody have these kind of blackouts and devise a way to put them on without having to have nasty velcro tabs on their paint?

    Also, I always thought these things were legal during the daytime.. but the box has all these warnings plastered over it talking about how the blackouts are only for show use. Anybody know what's up there?

    It is illegal. Most cops won't bug you, but be sure to take it off if driving at night... or even just parking on the street.

        my rear ones flew off and got ran over by my buddy behind me ..i had gto andthe front ones were the biggest pain.

          I have the rear ones, you have to untighten your rear lamp and tuck it underneath and hold it in while you tighten the light back up.

          Just noticed you live in Joliet, I use to live in Aurora.

            At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
            Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
