  • cleaning my wheel, help!

last night i went to the track and spun like a mofo. being only one wheels spins, i kicked up a lot of the track goo all over my body, wheel, and exhaust tip. i bought some bug and tar remover and scrubed for 20 min to finally cleaned it off the paint. i bought some meguires wheels cleaner and it didn't do a thing for the wheel. what can i use that will safely remove that tar like crap from my wheel and exhaust tip? i have polished ws6 wheels and i don't want to have a ruined one. please help me out, thanks.

I use WD-40 on everything :D ...except for wheels, not sure how it would work. On the body though, it works fantastic and doesn't ruin the paint.

BattyV6's WD-40 cleaning solution does work wonders.. I found that on baked on goo you have to spray and leave the WD-40 sitting for at least 30 seconds before beginning to force wipe it offf...

I used WD-40 to remove really bad glue stains from my bumper, and it worked out awesome!

i got my wheel clean! i had some stuff laying around called never dull magic wadding polish. stuff worked wonders. came off very easily. it also cleaned up my exhaust tip. i didn't think about wd40 for the paint, i just bought some bug and tar remover. after half a bottle and scrubbing as hard as i could, it finally came off the paint.
