  • took firebird badges and side molding off

This is the only picture I have right now, I'll get some better pics when the weather clears up...I think this made the car look a LOT better, so much cleaner and smoother looking.

I used some dental floss to get the molding to start coming off, then I just peeled it off by hand, then I scraped all the glue off with by hand as well lol.

that sucks, it just takes time and patience...and for the really small spots that I couldn't get off by hand I used some diluted goof off.

You have to use isopropyl alcohol, which you can get at any drug store, to get the old glue off.

So if i take off my badges with dental floss and some goof off or isopropyl alcohol, i wont have to repaint that part, will i? I think it looks pretty good to take it off. Not a bad idea since i got so much time during spring break

Dental floss works, but I used thin nylon fishing line. I did mine years ago, no damage to the paint at all.
