  • 1998 Trans Am Bumper

Hey guys, I have a chance to pick up a red trans am bumper for my car for 100 bucks. I plan on painting the bottom part of it black. I'm pretty sure a 1998 rear bumper can fit my 99 with no issue. Can someone confirm this for certain?

I have the w68 gfx kit, so I really don't know how I'm going to line that up or if I even can.

Do you have the w68 GFX? I've been looking at some pics to somehow make this work. Going to play around with photoshop tonight, perhaps it's going to take a combination of both bumpers to make what I want. I really want to keep my rear gfx on the side, but have the black insert on the bottom.

        93-02 are the same bumpers.

i would just run the TA bumper, and sell your old W68 bumper

The TA bumper will look good with the W68 ground effects.

I want the W68 ground effects for my WS6, as they look better, imho.

Yeah I'm going to photoshop my car and see how it looks in a few different combos. I hope it'll look good with just a TA bumper on as that'll be the easiest for me. Just not sure how the whole car will look with sideskirts and no rear skirts. I'm collecting a bunch of pics now to photoshop.

if this pics works for you. http://www.fuelslut.com/mem_pics/W68onlt1ta.jpg

if it does not, i'll send you an e-mail

side shot of the W68 on a Ta.

The TA has lower bumper on the sides, so it looks good. as they flow with the factory TA ground effects.

Thanks so much for the mail. From that vantage point it does look good. It doesn't show too much of it but it still follows the lines pretty well. I'll post some photoshop images later still.

Thanks for taking your time doing that, it's appreciated.
