  • Need opinions on this. (Regarding painting the headlight surrounding)

Hey guys, my car is going into the shop I work at to get some stuff painted and i'm painting the front bumper as one of the things. Ever since I owned my car the surroundings around the headlights were painted red to match the bumper. Please check my website to see what it looks like. Many of my friends told me they would paint it back to black so it looks like a normal camaro. However some say it's cool because i'm the only camaro around here that has that and it doens't look bad. Honestly I don't know what i'd like better. So I want to ask you guys what you think?

    Thanks, Ted

I have always liked the black surroundings because it was stock. I have seen a few red ones around here whose surroundings were also red and you can tell that they have been wrecked or replaced or something other. Try getting a closer look at some that are black and compare to colored ones and see what you think.

I personanly like it better colormatched. I think your car looks nice the way it is now. The best bet would just be to compare pics of your car to stock red Camaro's or photoshop your car with the black back on it.

I say make it black again. When its body color it doesn't look right. With it being black it gives it a squinting look again and not as narrow looking.

Yea I gave it a lot of consideration, and I think I will go back to black. I sat and looked at it for a while, and i think the black will give it a little bit better definition.

wazup, whats up? I live right down the street from UofD, on the otherside of 896 (across rt 40) in rosehill. I go to deltech though. When the weather gets better here me and a bunch of guys always go to hooters every thursday night for cruise night. There are also a few other guys with 6s around here that come up once in a while, but it seems like we're loosing a few, haha. Keep in contact though man and we can meet up there one day and chat cars and get some dinner or something. It's always awesome meeting some more fbody v6 owners in the area. C ya around.

And thanks to all the other compliments on my car, it really makes me feel good about all the work i've done on it, thanks a lot guys!!!
