I was just wondering how many of you guys have corvette wheels on your cars. Are there any clearance issues?? I was wondering specifically if the magnesium wheels would fit .........
I had 17/18 by 9.5" with 275/40/17 and 275/35/18 respectively. I had to take a sanding drum on a dremel to the inner hub to clear the hubs on the car, but other than that, I had no rubbing on my 1.2" dropped car.
I have 17's in the front with 275/40's and 18's with 315/30's. Under heavy cornering the inside of the rear tires will rub slightly on the inner fender. 3/16" spacers solved the problem.
I only put about 2000 miles a year on the car from May to October. Although last winter we only saw 1 decent snowfall up here and I could have probably driven it all year. But yes, definitely not winter friendly tires.
