    Cowl on stock v6 2000 firebird yay or nay??

    I was thinking about putting a cowl on my hood... but the only thing is I have the lame type of hood so I am afraid it would look like the attached picture which I think looks ridiculous. What do you all think?!

    I wouldn't do a add on, but buy the whole hood with the cowl.

          If you add something that isn't needed you're getting borderline dare I say... rice

          Having said that, an actual cowl hood might not look bad. Ram air hoods on the birds look the best IMO.

            I think the stock hood on the 97 and older bird looks the best >_>

                    It kinda ruins the line of the Bird. Either go with Raptor or WS6.

                      Firehawk hood for 98+. Anything else looks "stuck-on" - even the WS6 looks dumb.

                        If I were to do it I would make it functional. I wouldn't do a "stick on" if that changes anything. Ha.

                          And the Firehawk hood doesn't come OEM on any applications, does it? Its purely aftermarket? There are cheap certifit ws6 hoods. Just wondering.

                            Look on craigslist , I found my SS hood new for $200 on craigslist.

                              I'd have to agree there. I do love those Firehawk hoods. I haven't seen another hood on 98+ birds as well pulled off as the Firehawk hood.
