I like black rims on a white f-body. Are you going to paint the sail panels/roof black anytime soon?

This belongs in the appearance section.

What kind of paint did you use? In the picture, it almost looks like black-chrome; very nice.

And you're not talking about 305 wide tires on the stock wheels, are you? There is no way those will fit.

im not sure....what do you think? do you think a black sail panel will look better?

it already has black mirrors, handles, front fascia nose section(i took the plastic thing off), berger panel, and soon to be wheels :) im thinking that by leaving the sail panel white it will set it aside.

I'm also thinking about doing this

(the black at the bottom or well..the darker color) i want to incorporate that on the bottom doing it with paint and leaving the bottom inch white.

and well...if i told you what i used for paint...id have to kill you :D

AND yes 305 tires on these wheels. theyll work. My friend has 295s on his.

and yes. i plan on using these wheels with the 305 tire.

305s will fit but you will have issues when you corner its going to feel sloppy because the tires will be rolling side to side because there isn't enough steel under them to safely and properly support them.

If you are thinking about painting the rocker panels, or base of your vehicle black, please consider it before going through with it. IMO that would look horrible.

Black sail panels to finish off the rest of the "Z28" look. Painting the base a different color was a very 1980's style that never really looked that great when it was popular. They painted the '97-0? Buick Regal's that way and it was awful.

no no...not a different color, it will be the same black as the rest of the car.

                          and i really dont want the z28 look...its not a z28.
im also putting v6 emblems on the car as well. i want people to KNOW its a v6. I do not want people thinking they just smoked a z28 lt1 or ls1 with there turbo civic(they already act like there balls are huge anyways) and when i beat people I WANT THEM to know they just got smoked by a V6 camaro. and not a v8. so it makes it that much worse :D.

                          as far as the bottom.

i want the stripe to only be about 2 inches thick. i want to place it a inch from the bottom of the car.

so the bottom of the car still have definition and doesnt look like my car is higher from the optical allusion.

i have a shop that will do any work i ask them to regarding tires and rims.

as far as the paint...you can buy it at walmart and autozone =D

You know, we do have an "edit post" button. No need to double and triple post within minutes of each other.

The black stripe along the base of the car isn't necessarily a bad idea, but if there is only an inch of body below the stripe, I'm not sure it would be any more visible than carrying it to the bottom of the rocker due to the design of the rockers. Or do you mean like putting the stripe at the bottom of the doors?
