  • Stability issue?

I upgraded to some BBK long tube headers about a month ago and I’ve noticed when I step on the gas hard the rear of the car tries to get out from under me, what can I do to stop this? I ordered some rear cradle pro bushings from BMR but should I go for some control arms too?

Don’t know too much on 5th gens but LCAs on 4th gens work great for traction.

What do you mean that the rear end tries to get out from underneath you? Do you mean the tires spin and it kicks sideways on you? If so, stickier tires would be the first step. Next to that would be looking at suspension that can help plant the rear end. Nothing will make up for not using a stickier tire though...

Yea i just mean my rear end tries to shoot sideways when I step on the gas but the tires don’t spin at all. Launch is great on the car just in the first few seconds it tries to kick sideways

Okay that’s what I was thinking too. I heard it really stiffens it up in the rear

Yes it does, do 5th gens have tq arms too? When I got a tunnel mount tq arm that was adjustable it helped too.

This sounds like body roll to me. Is this happening when you punch it in a straight line or if you have just come out of a corner and are still a little bit on an angle?

Go down an empty wide street (be very careful when you do this) and pull your steering wheel aggressively from left to right to make the car swerve. Don't do this much faster than 30mph and make sure you maintain control (in other words baby steps). Do you feel the same type of kick? Do you notice any odd sounds?

I wonder if a sway bar link has possibly broken - what year is your Camaro again?
