wells guys i have good/bad/sad news
i really don't know how to put it
I drove 3 hours to a 1/4 mile track. I didn't tell many people about it, just in case something like this happened. i wasn't even going to post about it but i have never not held anything back from this community and i have ALWAYS been up front with you guys....... You deserve to know.
we got there at 12 the car ran great the hole way. I let to cool for a good 45minutes the got up there and ran
60 --- 1.833
1/8 --- 7.6
mph -- 91
1/4 --- 11.78
MPH -- 115
the car has a really bad exhaust leak, i had gaskets on order but they didn't make in time..... i figure what the hell worst that can happen it they blow out and i get ****ty 60 foot time
the track was newly paved so, i only lanched at 1500 or so i think
I ran the run and notcied the tranny didn't **** into the 3rd nice and crips.... i found the problem later in the tune.
i got my slip. parked the car and poped the hood..... look at the log and it looked freaking perfect.... 14-15* of timing 0 KR 950 on the O2's (put in a rich tune before it left for the tracky) until the very top of the track i went into 850's
the car had cooled and i was ready to run again with a new tune and this time a WBO2
started it and it ran fine but it was smoking like a SOB
pulled plugs . #3 has oil in it pull the valve cover everything seems fine.... cranked it over with fuel pump fuse out.... again everything fine and it shoots oil out the plug hole about 15 feet and hits malice in the face......
the only thing i can think of after talking to lance is a intake gasket let out and its sucking oil into it....
I could have drove the car home like that but i didn't want to risk hydro locking the motor from oil
so i had it towed home $497.50 for the tow bill
If it is something major I'm sorry but I'm done i have already extended myself to try and get this car to do want i want. I can't do it again/anymore.... it just not worth it to me anymore.
if its the intake gasket that $50 and 5-hours to replace yes i'll be back at the track run my back up run for everyone

also the motor is fine I'm just leaking oil from some where now...... the compression is fine..... i must have blow a valve seal or lower intake gasket
