Im off to Evolution school this weekend. Anyone been there, any tips or things I should know or stuff I should bring to make sure I get the full benefit?

Keep an open mind. Everything you knew before was wrong.

Haven't done that one, but have been to driving schools.

Be sure your car is _totally_ ready before you go. Your goal is to mess with the car as little as possible.

Be sure to have whatever you need before you get there, water, food, clothing, driving gear, etc. Same goal, be prepared.

        Get there early.

I'm a big fan of books. The one that jumps out at me is Ross Bentley, Speed Secrets 2 (Speed Secrets might be as good or better, I haven't read it). The reason I recommend it is that it has a lot on how to learn and gather data from your senses, rather than specific driving techniques. I think some of the techniques it suggests for learning would help you get more out of the school.

Jeff - I've been trying to reach you by email, apparently without success. Could you use the link in my message to email me, so I can respond?

I was thinking about signing up for that. It comes to my town in march. By the time I decided that it would be a good idea to attend, all of the slots were filled up.

It must be a really elite school.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I know it'll help my times better than any $200 I can spend on the car
