  • More weight gone

Yup.... just when you think it was not possible.

Current guesstimate if weight: 2838 lbs (new front runners)

    I yanked:
    AFPR
Misc wiring to my front strobe lights
Massaged the under carriage of the nose on the bumper
removed the black plastic under carriage covers
Jig sawed about 5 inches off the hook up points of the bumper support.

    Total loss, 14 lbs.

All this weight was taken from in front of the front tires.... so ALL off the nose :D

New estimate of curb weight: 2824 lbs. Once I weigh the bird at the track then I can confirm this.

I am waiting on new light weight door panels which should arrive shortly. I am hoping for 10 lbs... but doubtful.

I want to see 27XX lbs this year.

I want a race weight of under 3,000 lbs.

    How's the driver's weight doing? :D

Wow, I didn't know you can make an F-body weigh that much.

How much more can you take off?

Driver weight is slowly getting less... back on a diet.

      How much more.....
      Heater core/ all ducting
Switch to light weight brakes (98+ v6's get aluminum, mine are steel/ iron?)
      Ditch door bars
      Massage insides of doors
      Lighter weight hood?
Weld drag lites for the rear wheels
Chrome moly LCA's and panhard rod

I refuse to remove interior paneling.

      I could see mid 27XX's

We shall see what happens over this year.
