      no m5's came with 3.08, and theres no way eric downgraded to the 3.08.

        3.73s alone would get some stock cars into 14s. Depends on the car, the track, conditions, traction, etc. Definitely not impossible. Don't expect it though.

          i hate to burst your buble but it wont happen i got 3.73, fast toy cai, whisper lid, 3" flowmast cat back, catco high flow cat, helex tb spacer, hpp3, msd 8.5 wires, ngks tr55, weight reducion front sway bar, fiber glass hood, rear seat, rear seat belts, spair tires and jack, front inpack bar and i got drag radios so best time i get 15.1 and that with my best 60' time was 2.083 and the sad part is i did a 15.1 when i had 2.5 flowmaster cat back and 3.42 gears and now that i did 3" cat back and 3.73 gears same spot 15.1 so im think its my 3" and that i should stade with 2.5? i do care about sound i just wont performace.

                  i got hpp3 doesnt that help?will tuning my car really make a big diffrence? i bin think about doing that but i dont have any place here in cal to do my tuning that i know of and what does me located in cal have to do anything with my car doing 15.1

                    Get a base line.... some cars are much quicker from the factory than others.

                    Some respond to mods differently

                      96' M5 - I ran a 15.14 at 90 with custom intake, Hi-flow cat, 2.5" catback, !MAF screen, and removed rear seats, spare and jack. Open 3.23's on street tires, about 65* temperature.
                      3.42 gears and Torsen LSD will put me in the 14's easily. So its definitely doable

                        what he said... best way to to see what you run hit hte track...

                        I ran 14.7s with the free mods.

                        ran 14.7 with a bogged launch and 2.2 60' with 3.42s, cutout on stockcatback and shaved stock lid and a homemade, ls1 driveshaft, and a non-o2 sensor tune.
