Don't fill your tank right before going. I plan to show up with hopefully around a quarter tank.

For my prep I'll be swapping my wheels, removing the subs, spare tire and jack, and clean/reoil the K&N.

You want to get the K&N Recharge Kit. Comes with cleaner and a spray can of oil. They tell you not to use other kinds of oil on their filter or it voids the warranty.

I have another Q about the track.

You know how some tracks tell you to put a cage if your running under 12.5 or something, thats fine, but if they delay your lauch and you still run a 14.4 at like 145mph then your still going JUST AS FAST?

          Am I missing something here?

Reaction time is not added to Elapsed time. Your ET starts from the moment you leave the staging beam.

Tracks usually reserve the right to throw your *** out if they feel like it... so you could probably get away with that kind of crap, once.

I didn't know they measured from when you left the beam... what do they do if you accidentlly get an early jump?

You red light. But for test-n-tune they don't care. You'd lose the round if it was racing.

They would still give me a times if I jumped early?

Oh yeah, even if you were racing you would still get your slip from a red light run. It just wouldn't count, you're disqualified. Unless of course you both red light. Then I think it's whoever red lighted worse, (had the lowest RT gets DSQ) or something like that.
