• think I might make 13s when done?

my goals are
1.9X R/t
13.XX ET
100 mph trap

They are just sort of goals to aim for whether I hit them or not.

I was runing 14.5s in the heat at the begining fo summer when I got cancer and all that crap. Car "felt" like it had a 14.3 or 14.2 in it on a good night. But well I never ran that so can't claim it.

either way in the process of installing
-Spec II (new hydraulics, drill mod)
-19mm sway(might help with launch, 21mm helped my 3.4L a little)
-3.42s, and an auburn diff
-lighter wheels/narrower tires(if I can launch on them, they are untested)
-some tuning, nothing rediculous but rev limiter is up, and a few other things that have been said to help.

hoping I'll at least get the 13.99 ET, "maybe" the 1.9, I hit 2.0X with the 3.23s.

ohh well we will see when I get all the crap in the car broken in and start running it.

Eric,
I think 3.42 is the completely wrong choice for 1/4 mile racing. Your 3rd tops out at 95, so you'll be shifting to 4th just before the line, which will be a waste. Either get 3.23s and stay in 3rd, or get 4.10s to utilize all of 4th.

I ran it on my 94 had no problems...

I was going to try them out and see how they go.

If it sucks I can always go back to 3.23s easily. It was a rear end swap, I coudl probalby do it in a few hours.

Yeah, but your 94 didn't get up past 95 so you never had to shift to 4th. You'll easily be over 95 and you'll lose at least a tenth shifting, and you ETs will be really inconsistent shifting so close to the finish line.

If you wait for a 50 degree or below night and the DAs are at or below sea level w/ a great launch (which is no problem for you), you will definitely get a 14 flat or 13.9! Good luck man! BTW, when are you going?

If you bump up the redline to 6000, you'll be good to 97 mph in 3rd. May be just enough to get you across the line without shifting.

I was thinking of something along the lines of that. I also have a few sets of tires with different sidewall heights, might make a difference.
