  • New Best Tonight

I went to Test N tune earlier and only got to make one run because of weather.

This is the first time I've been to the track since the heads and getting everything fixed, re-tuned on it. It seemed like it was starving for fuel a little.

My only run was more than I hoped for, i guess everything was finally right. I've waited for this for a long time.

    R/T - .327
    60" - 2.107
    330 - 5.937
    1/8 - 9.142
    MPH - 76.05
    1000 - 11.990
    1/4 - 14.39
    MPH - 93.65

I was expecting a mid 15 second run, i was stunned when I got the time slip. Of course the guy at the booth was like "hey, its alright, thinking i had a Z".

I only got to make one run on the night and they shut the track down because of lightning. Temps were good, 70's probaly. Nice cool night.

I have a shift kit and tranny cooler for it. Hopefully after that is in, and a nice cold october night it will hit 13's.

They sell like 101,104 and I think 110 octane. Will that make any difference in my car?

that is a good trap speed, wokr on that short time a little bit and you will definately be able to knock down a 13 second pass.
the racing octanes don't make much of a difference unless you have tuning to take advantage of them. with your head and cam package and a full tune you will see some gains with better fuel, but not much over a complete tune.

                I have a GT2 cam

                507/507 216/216

                Abbott Stage 3 Heads

Stainless 184 Intake valves, 1.55 exhaust valves, port and polished, decked, ZZP retainers, 105lb springs, valve job, decked .005, valve guides cut

3.73 Gears, Eaton Limited Slip, all the little exhaust intake mods

Has a TSP mail tune, shifts at like 6200-6300. There is still some tuning left to do.

Ya, I only have one run, with a couple others who knows what it might be. I just went up to the line and did what felt natural on it. I didnt even look at the tack when i stalled it.

Hopefully its nice and cool again this friday i'll head back out.

I have a stock stall in it. When I get some money i want a TCI 3500-3800 stall.

ouch thats definitly gonna hurt your times...id lean towards the tci 3800 or even larger if you can stand a little looseness.

Trap speed doesn't seem that impressive, especially with the gears. I trapped 96.8 with a DA of 2100' and a 2.2 60'. But with only 1 run, could've just been a fluke. Plus the stock converter isn't helping.

yeah the trap doesnt seem right to me I pulled a 94.18 trap with a 14.664 ET so go figure, good time though. Good luck digging deeper.

Ya, I think I used to trap higher. It might have been a fluke. There are still some tuning issues. It runs kind of funny and will act weird at times. I think its thirsty.

Does anyone know anyone in oklahoma with HP tuners or anything that can record a log of my car? I sure as heck cant find anyone.

I think I want a 3800. I rode in my freinds Chevy Short wide that had a TCI 3800 and it was hella loose. It cruised at like 2700-3400 RPMs.

all i say is make sure the fuel does not have ANY lead in it...it will clog your CAT and sensors, if you have them o/c.

I don't think his trap is horrible... I trapped about .7 mph faster on my 14.4 but I am also running 3.23s with a 5-speed.
