  • High School Drags

Every year at the track in KC some company sponsers the "High School Drags". Basically high school kids from all over the metro come and bracket race. Any other citys have events like these? just curious...

high school drags is actually an NHRA program. most sanctioned tracks run it.
as far as people having faster cars, that doesn't matter. it is all bracket racing.
you take a few practice shots, pick a dial in time, then try to run that number. doesn't matter if one car can run 6' and the other runs 19's.
all 3 tracks here in jersey have high school programs.

                    yeah, FEAR THE AUTOMATICS!

They are the ones that usually win, because all we have to do is get a good light asnd press the gas...no worries about mis-shifting because autos times are consistant. Worse thing you can do, besides red lighting with a stick is worry about chasing the opponent and dipping your dail in.
