    Practice always helps [img]tongue.gif[/img]

    If you are launching at 1800-2200 now, you prolly won't be able to stall the car any higher than that. You would have to get an aftermarket converter to stall higher, which, as bill said, would give you a nice gain. Gears will also help alot, but 3.73s or 4.10s would get you better gains for the same money as installing 3.42s.

      Wow, I never realized the advantage of having a manual. I can launch at 2800-3000 rpm depending on track conditions.

        You can launch a hell of a lot higher than that, just takes practice.

          yeah i dont want to get 3.73's because I have heard that it decreases gas mileage a bit. I wanna get bigger gears but I still wanna get decent gas mileage. But I don't know anything about 3.73's so what do u guys think? just go with 3.73's instead of 3.42's?
