    i have a 1999 y87 with 3.42 gears, asr limited slip, headers, and high flow cat back exauhst. I've heard both ways what is faster, to keep the limited slp on or off while drag racing. by the way mine is an a4
    1999 y87 a4, american thunder cat-back, 3.42 gears, headers, grey racing stripes, billet grill, 17inch c5 rims

      mine's always off..you'll get a much better launch as long as you hook up

          Well, it's not the limited slip that you are turning off - it's the traction control. And yes, always turn it off.

            Traction control.... designed to lower power... to gain traction....

                on nitrous i just stall as high as the factory TC will allow (1800 - 2000 rpms) and then floor it..NA you can try flashing the coverter if you have a good set of tires for racing..while you're on the line just stall a few hundred rpms above idle..then just floor it when you take off

                    I guess I need to get stickier tires. With ASR off it takes a full second off my times (I spin until the second gear shift - this is in the corvette).

                      For your 99..... stall to 1,800... and go from there.... stcok verter prob wont go much higher than that.

                      Speedracer... for your vette.... practice. Running both mom's C5's (98 and 00) I had traction control off... and got 2.0 60 ft's with the weeney A4 and 2:76's. It's all in the driver.
