  • 3.4l Looking for 13's

I have a 95 camaro with the 3.4l with everything done that you can think of including +.25 over with all new bearings complete compcam valve train including cam,1.6 roller rockers, valve springs, push rods, timing chain and lifters Accel 19lb fuel injectors slp cold air intake, removed egr and cat pacesetter headers and high flow exhaust. rebuilt tranny with tci 3000 stall converter gm aluminum drive shaft and posi with 4:10 gears. Last but not least a 75 shot of nos. Even though i am getting a 1.8 60ft time My best time with nos is a 14.5 and best time without is a 16.3 is it possible that the 4:10 gear is two much with nos i hit 89mph and without only 80 would a 373 help

With 3.73s you will not accelerate as fast as you will with 4.10's

Give us some more details about your setup...

    Auto or M5?
    What suspension mods?
    What tires/wheels?

A full time slip of your best run would probably help too.

Sounds to me like it's dying up top.

with a 3000 stall and 4.10's i'd say that its about right for the MPH.. he's probably shifting into OD before he hits the traps

(SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG HAD TO DIG OUT TIMESLIPS)

Here is best run with 75 shot:
                            R/T... .O54
                            60FT... 1.863
                            330... 5.486
                            1/8ET... 9.209
                            1/8mph... 73.04
                            1000... 12.103
                            1/4ET... 14.554
                            1/4mph... 91.91

This is my best run N/A:
                            60FT... 2.150
                            330FT... 6.595
                            1/8ET... 10.332
                            1/8MPH... 65.31
                            1/4ET... 16.336
                            1/4MPH... 82.89

I put a 3:73 in on saturday and it feels a lot faster on the top end I think the 4:10 was to much for the v6. I am going to the track friday I am going to run once N/A then a 75 SHOT and Finally a 100 Shot I just hope it still runs at the end of the night!

For people asking about my mods here they are:

(3.4l) +.25 over with all new bearings complete compcam valve train including cam,1.6 roller rockers, valve springs, push rods, timing chain and lifters Accel 19lb fuel injectors slp cold air intake, removed egr and cat pacesetter headers and high flow exhaust. rebuilt tranny with tci 3000 stall converter gm aluminum drive shaft and posi with 4:10 (now 3:73) gears. Last but not least a 75 shot of nos ( traction is not a problem i have a jegester adjustable panhard rod and nitto drag radicals)

Well I don't know for sure, but with that list of mods IF it were a 3.8 I KNOW you would need tuning.

4.10 is a lot of gear, but if a car is tuned/programmed for them they shouldn't technically hurt you.

                              Last question from me
                              Dry or wet nitrous kit?
