very good night at richmond dragway; all you guys that went to MIR will be disappointed. the faster cars were spinning a lot, especially after the sun went down and the track lost some heat but i was hooking very very well.

ambient temp was about 70 when we got there and was 61 when we left, average density altitude of 650! :D

my sig is a little deceptive though; right now i am running a stock motor with intake, exhaust, LS1 DS, UMI LCAs, 275/40 sumitomos, 3.73s, ZR1s, centerforce DF, rear tires at 22 psi.

first run, car was very warm and of course it was my first run at richmond:
RT: .1159
60: 2.16
330: 6.2589
1/8 ET: 9.6577
1/8 MPH: 72.93
1/4 ET: 15.0608
1/4 MPH: 91.39

okay, decent warm up run.

next run was hot lapped, engine was probably 190-200 as i staged.
RT: .0879
60: 2.12
330: 6.1558
1/8 ET: 9.5617
1/8 MPH: 72.77
1/4 ET: 14.9695
1/4 MPH: 91.96

an improvement, but not what i had hoped for so i parked in the pits and watched some of the other cars run, including the gunslingers (mod et). i got tired of watching other people go fast, so i went to the staging lanes again. long wait, car was almost cold (around 140-150 F) when i was finally staged.

RT: .1166
60: 2.0057 on sorry tires and 17's!
330: 5.9697
1/8 ET: 9.3137 (faster than my previous 1/8 best by 4 full tenths)
1/8 MPH: 73.89 (again, faster than old best MPH by 2.5 mph)
1/4 ET: 14.6693
1/4 MPH: 91.72

i was real happy about that run. :D

last run, car was cool but not as cool as the 14.66, probably 165:
RT: .1955
60: 2.0611
330: 6.1200
1/8 ET: 9.5079
1/8 MPH: 73.22
1/4 ET: 14.9048
1/4 MPH: 91.09

good night for me!

Awesome time man. I got my best time N/A when the car was around 160. Even if I let it cool all the way down after the burnout I could never get it any cooler than that. I wonder how mine would of reacted just a few degrees cooler?

thanks for the props.

drew (pewter2k1) and i were talking while we were there and he claims to have always run his best NA times with the car near dead cold... i think he said 14.9 in paper filter stock trim.

it kind of makes me want to get a 160 stat, but i may just drill the one i have now so i can have the best of both worlds.

im guessing street tires then. im suprised the low tire pressure did bof you down like it did me. i was running 27 and it bogged me down on the top end. got good launches off it though.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
