  • Hittin the track tomorrow night with the new PCM tuning

My previous bests are 15.75 at 85.7 MPH with a 2.32 60' so I'm just looking to improve on that. I ran those times on my 16" 5-stars with michelins on them. I'm debating on whether it's really worth it for me to swap back to the 16's since it's a LOT easier for my car to spin the 16's than the 17's with the yokohamas. My best on 17's was 15.91 with a leaky trans, on very humid night, and with a strong headwind (plus my first time at the track). I figure that if I keep the 17's on I'll get much better grip so I can stall higher and get better 60's, which is what I really need to do to get the times I feel I should be running. Anyways I'll be sure to post here when I get back since I don't think anyone else has posted track results after tuning yet.

**** well we didn't end up making it to the track. We were running kinda late already and then my friend wasn't wearing long pants so he had to go home and change and then the traffic was ****ing horrendous so we couldn't get there in time. The worst thing is that the closest track is going to be closed for the next two weeks. DOH

I am getting my PCM tomorrow and hopefully, if time permits, I will head to the track tomorrow night. If I do run, I will post some numbers. Don't cross your fingers, we are taking a family trip to King's Dominion tomorrow, so i have no idea what time I will get back.

hehe... I just plan to get to the track around 4:30... which means how I run late I show up around 5:30-5:45 before the gates open at 6 and usually get towards the front of the staging lanes.

Damn weather. Rain closed the track tonight for the 2nd week in a row.

The only track I've gone to is Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA (used to be called Sears Point). But they are closed until July 7th and the next closest track is in Sacramento which is kinda far from here. Ah well guess I'll just have to wait. I'm sure someone else will post up some before/after #'s before then.
