MOV is margin of victory, i.e. how much the winner won by.

So if I am correct in reading this, I beat him to the line by .0731 sec even though I had a 1.17 sec handicap. My R/T was .004 sec better than him. But because we both broke out he beat me in time by 1.101 sec but I had a head start of 1.17 therefore his margin of victory was .069
          1.17 - 1.101 = .069
WOW that was a close race.

BTW that was Firefighter vs me in quarterfinals of the six-pack Nationals at AIS
          Thanks for that information

They come alot closer!! Im only 19 and have raced only for 3 years..I already won or lost almost 30 races by .01 or less. With the lead you had on that guy you should have hit your barkes. Not attacking ..just a little tip that might get you to the next round next time. try to finish Absolutly no more than a car length ahead of your opponent in a street class...any other class..a fender.

Just my opinion.....but a car length is way too much. At least it is around here. You want to finish as close to the same time as possible but a little bit ahead. Actually, the whole idea with bracket racing is to have your car run as close to the number as possible without breaking out.

.06 finish is a pretty good bit. A good close race would be in the .00X range. Again, these are just my opinions from my experiences drag racing.

I remember one race last year where the car count was real low. They decided to have double buybacks (meaning you could buyback into the race in both 1st and 2nd round if you lost). A good friend of mine lost first round by .000, bought back in and lost 2nd round by .000, bought back in and lost 3rd round by .000. I couldn't actually believe it until I saw the timeslips myself.

              Good luck at the races.
