• Second time at the track, new bests

Went out to Infineon Raceway in Sonoma tonight. My previous best was a 15.91 my first time out on 17" wheels, and in 100% humidity. Tonight the weather was better but there was a strong headwind. I put my stock 16's back on and ran 35 psi front, 27 rear. Less than a half tank of gas. Removed jack and spare. Here's the times:

Temp: 73 Humidity: 50

R/T: .650
60': 2.324 (new best but still needs work)
1/8: 10.182
MPH: 69.60
1/4: 15.868
MPH: 85.28

got smoked by a srt-4 that ran 14.16

Temp: 70 Humidity: 51

Dial: 15.80
R/T: .482
60': 2.330
1/8: 10.088 (new best)
MPH: 70.07 (new best)
1/4: 15.750 (new best)
MPH: 85.70 (new best)

got eliminated since I broke out

So I only got two runs which kinda sucks, but at least I did better than last time. I know I could have done better as the temperature cooled down. Maybe I could have got a 15.6 or so. My friend's 94 Z28 A4 w/ intake and catback was running between 15.6 and 15.9 all day with a best trap of 87, which was really surprising. It's got 140k on it, but still, something aint right there. Most other LT1's were running mid-14's or so. There was only one other V6 owner there with a 2000 Camaro so I talked to him for a bit. He was a real cool guy. He said he was looking into supercharging and I mentioned Tiago's turbo kits and he was really interested in that and the custom PCM tuning group purchase, so I told him to post on these forums to get all the info he needs. It was a pretty fun night, except for my early exit, but I'll be back.

nice runs man. with your mods you should be in the low 15s though.

stick with your smaller rims obviously and get more practice. your 60' time will drop and then your ET will drop.

how are you launching, what rpm?
are you getting traction on the launches??
go get more runs in, nice to see another guy in the 15's. have 14's as your next goal, with practice and your mods, you should be able to do it. good times and good luck.
