• First time at the track, how did I do?

Tires:
Front 40psi
Rear 22psi

1/2 tank of gas

alt: 300 ft

Weather was prolly around 70ish

3 runs

first run: against a 3rd gen camaro (305)

........him...........me
R/T....988..........1.236
60'....2.248........2.164
330...6.601........6.438
1/8...10.191.......9.962
MPH..68.56.........70.16
1000.13.301.......13.002
1/4...15.947.......15.603
MPH..85.49.........86.83

I had Becky in the car on that run.

Second run: against a 3000GT

........him...........me
R/T...1.042........1.347
60'....3.247........2.204
330...9.547........6.437
1/8...13.278.......9.959
MPH..68.16........70.03
1000.16.352......13.001
1/4...18.906.......15.602
MPH..89.17.........86.92

He spun like hell, but he trapped around 90 the hole night.

Third run against a new riced out integra...

They gave me the wrong timeslip, I got the one for the guy in front of me!

Becky said I ran a 15.7, I spun like HELL, there was water everywhere and I couldn't drive around it.

I know it has a 15.2 in it...

Not bad for a first time running a car down the track, I guess.

BTW, I beat the integra ;)

hey If your stll on street tires I woudl run more pressure in the rear like around 32, and if it doesn't work drop it down to maybe 28, on street tires I think 22 is waaaaaay to low, and will hurt your traction

but other then that not too bad

Shane told me 22 psi on the rears

Mods are a flowmaster 80 series muffler and a K&N air filter (lol)

3.42 gears, auto

I'll have to say - it was the most fn I've had with my clothes on, I was just gonna do a couple runs before ais3, but now I'm addicted!

22psi is way too low for street radials. i agree that 28 is about the lowest i woudl ever go with a regular radial tire.
try around 32psi, don't do a burnout, jsut spin the tires enough to kind of scrape them off. street radials are not designed to be heated up. they will get greasey and cost you et.
pump up your front tires to about 50psi so that they roll really easy. it won't hurt the tires since the duration of the run is so short that they can not build up any excess heat.

good times

times look good. Very consistent, try for 1/8th tank next time you race.

I plan on taking out the jack and spare, all the misc. crap I had back there, maybe even the backseat lol. Oh, and I plan on doing the
!girlfriend mod next time I do a run.

Hmm...maybe I'll try some of the free mods, descreening MAF, etc. getting rid of the air silencer I'm sure wouldn't hurt either.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
