• New Times after Heads and Cam swap!!

Finally got to the track after the Heads and Cam Swap. I only got to make 2 runs, but they are both ok.

I missed second on both runs, I think the syncro is going bad, it just wouldn't enguage. But my runs are pretty good, definatly 13 territory.

My Trap speed is a Huge improvement over my runs before the heads and cam.

R/T .392
60' 2.366
1/8 9.963
MPH 76.00
1/4 14.964
MPH 98.89

R/T .173
60' 2.174
1/8 9.588
MPH 76.73
1/4 14.577
MPH 98.92

I'm going to try to get more runs this weekend and maybe see some 13 second timeslips

Just added the 1/8 times.

I did the heads myself.

I'm getting real sick of going to the Cecil County for hours and only making 2-3 runs, the DRs are barely heated up by then, they only really start hooking after the 2nd or 3rd run.

If I can get more than 2 runs in over a 3 hour period, I'm sure I'll get in the 13s.

I did everything, springs, retainers, pushrods, lifters. I basically redid the entire top end, I didn't touch the bottom end at all.

Its a ZZP GT grind

Yup. W/ 98/99 mph traps you can run 13's. In a manual it takes plenty of practice to get the shifts right. W/ a 1.9 60' your 14.5 run would be ~14.0. So you just need traction and a clean run. It'll be nice having another v6 that runs 13's NA, that actually exsists.

At some point I'll touch up my own heads.

Nice runs you can obcioulsy see the first half of your runs were pretty crappy, between the 60' and 1/8th

your synchro is probalby going out, same problem my 3.4L kept running into :(

just go to AIS next. i'm sure people can help you out a lot there and you can lay down some nice 13 sec runs.

My best previous run is the one on the timeslip page.

14.925 @ 91.32 with a 2.077 60'

I may try to make it up to AIS.

I also plan to dyno in the spring at the next dyno day at Maryland.

I ported and polished the heads with the Standard Abrasives porting kit. I can write it up when I get a chance, but in the meantime you can check this site http://www.sa-motorsports.com/diyport.htm

BTW, it took a LONG time and I slightly overported the exhaust ports for the pacesetters.

Seppo, do you rev to redline on every shift because the power doesn't seem to drop off before then??
