• 90mph on stock f-bird?

Im new here and new to modifying engines. But even when someone told me that his stock 2000 3.8 firebird hit 90 mph in the quarter mile i thought . Is it really possible for a completely bone stock f-bird to hit this in the quarter. My 2001 camaro is stock and i havent gotten it to the track but it DEFINATLEY does not hit 90. Thanks for answering my question.

This won't be here for long...probably goes in "drag racing." But eh, rookie right? lol. Welcome to the boards.

I ran the time you see in my signature, essentially stock.

yes, 91.37mph, and anyone who doesn't believe me can suck an egg because I've got the timeslip posted.

not hard at all for a 5 speed to go past 90 mph in the 1/4.

as close to stock as i could get (just a Z28 i pipe and a flowmaster muffler), i went 92mph in the 1/4.

but yes, this doesn't belong here. moving to drag racing

I don't think the autos can do it, they put a little less power to the ground, but the manuals definitely can.

I did right at 90 mph with my exhaust only.

I then did my badass-rules-you-all intake and made it to 92.8.

My mph on my best et (15.19) was 91.6

It's not so much the idea of less power but more towards the fact that the A4 has steeper gearing (the transmission NOT THE REAR).

The time in my sig was completely stock except for a whisper lid. One of the best NA trap speeds around, and I was near stock.
