  • Had my first run

Took 'er to the strip yesterday for the first time. Best time was the first run, 15.7 and 87mph. Also autocrossed for the first time yesterday too.

Since I went back and forth between the two races, instead of changing the tire pressure back and forth from 28 to 40, I split the difference and ran 35psi in the back. Probably could have gotten better then 2.3 60' times with less pressure and flashing the converter, but it was fun anyway. Held it to 2000 rpms and let off the brake and rolled on the gas.

Had passengers on the other 3 runs, and those runs were 16.0 times. The kids got a big kick out of riding along. Don't know if they're hooked, but they definitely liked it.

Looks like an exhaust is in my future...

And trying to get the .74 r/t's down to .54

It was just test and tune all morning.

The F-bodies group had the whole place to themselves up until late in the afternoon. I wasn't sure if riders were ok, but after seeing several others ones go, I told the kids to come on, and they took turns. The wife made a run with me too. Made 'em wear a helmet just for a little extra safety measure.

They rode along on the autocross too.

They allow people to ride with you out here in Lubbock all the time. Sometimes, they don't even do inspections.
