keith...question about tach./speedo/1/4

i noticed that i finish the quarter mile at the very top of third gear. my trap speeds are right up between 89.6 and 90.4, consistently.
now here's my question...with 3.23's and an M5...i thought the rev limiter kicked in at 90? the speedo only reads about 86, the tach 5400 or so, but the TRAP is 90.x my fear is i'm over revving, because the trap is an average of speed over a certain time, and this kinda bugs/scares me...

Your tach may be off but the PCM gets a accurate signal and will cut fuel as soon as you hit 6000.

The speedo reads 86 probably because its lagged. I wouldn't worry about it.

You'll no your over revving when the engine starts going.. whack whack whack whack whack!!!! lol

I finish the 1/4 mile at 93 mph in 3rd gear and I dont touch the rev limiter. My rev limiter seems to cut in at about 97 mph. The rev limiter kicks in at a certain rpm not a certain speed. My limiter seems to kick in aroun 5750 rpm. Even if you hit the limiter it will not hurt the car at all.
