I know most of you prefer the drag strip to tracks with turns - but for those of you who might want to try something different (and live in the DC area) I wanted to spread the word that the DC Region of the SCCA is holding a PDX (peformance driving experience) and Club Trials (time trials) on the last weekend of this month at Summit Point Motorsports Park (on the Shenandoah Circuit). If you've never done any high performance driving this is a great place to learn - might make a nice early Christmas gift for the really thoughtful wife/girlfriend (hint, hint). Also worth nothing - the DC Region has a "work 3, get one free" program for workers who come out and flag, work grid, or help out in some other way, so if you can't afford the $$$ for one of these events come on out and work and earn credit toward a free PDX.
