Just curious, Which one is faster? ..... it seems camaro has the weight problem, where 350Z has a torque problem......their HP is pretty close.....which one is faster? i believe for 350Z it's 300/260 where z28 is 310/340('02 z28) .... :)

deffinatly the Camaro. My friends 350z had ALL the bolt ons for n/a and could only go 13.9 at 100 or so.

for some reason i find that funny. thats alot of money to spend on something with a high strung motor that cant hit 13s. and yet they put them in the same category as the ls2 gtos.

its impressive for what it is, but i'd rather spend that kind of money on a 300zx or a supra if i was looking for a nice import car.

To answer your question the Z28 is hands down faster, stock. But anything can be fast for the amount of money you put into it.

If you want a fast import... buy a streetbike. They are the only things that are fast from the box without mods, everything else takes money.

Exactly what he said. LS1 will rape a 350z, on the other hand, if it were a '93-97 LT1, it'd be neck and neck.

yeah, i was talking stock to stock ..... I know that camaro is heavier and i was thinking since the 350z has only 10HP less than the camaro, it would be a drivers race.......but i guess not..... :)

My SC bird has already taken my brother's friend '04 350Z. I thought he was going to give me a good run but he didn't.

He an auto though. I'm sure if he had manuel he would have.

LS1's are grossly underrated. 2002 Z28's have seen as much as 320 REAR WHEEL horsepower stock

Is that true??? I thought they were even slower than that... and 33-35 g's for a decent one, ouch...

LS1>350Z period. For example the Turbo'd 350 in Tokyo drift, They rated at 450~RWHP,a H/C LS1 does that. it is where the TORQUE is. And I dont think there is that BIG of a gap in weight but I could be Wrong.

Intresting you mention that movie. I was reading a magazine today, and it said that apparently for the film they had a mustang with a real skyline engine in it... but it couldnt' do the nessessary drifts because it didn't have enough power. So they got a second mustang with the original engine for the action shots.
