    What was your 1st car?

    Mine was a 57 Chevy,2 door sedan, with a 283,3speed on the floor, when I was 15.I paid $100.00 down and owed $100.00 more.
    Drove it 25 miles home and it started popping and jerking and dying.
    I was working at a Gulf station and my boss checked it and it had a cracked block.
    My boss got me another 283 from Spicer and Gaylords(junkyard) and told me I had to do it myself.Started Fri. night and got done Sun. afternoon.
    Me and a friend took off and drove 50 miles round trip and burned 5 quarts of oil.
    We had all the windows open and it looked like the car was on fire.

    My boss got me another engine and that one was good.

      when i was 16, 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z, t-tops, black, tan interior, hit in front, R-titled. restored the front end, bought for 800, sold for 1500, f-bodies for life.

        21 and still have my first car... 1980 2 door malibu. its electric blue, 350, hooker holley, edlebrock, flowmaster, pacer, other brands of mods... car show quality now... been through alot. i work all summer and paid 3500 for it, and i have put about 5k in it. i've been offered about 8k for it since.

            79 'yota pickup. NO exhaust, floorboards rusted through (the seat fell through the floor), broken frame, no reverse. Piece of ****. Bought it in '89.

                My first car was an '88 Pontiac Bonneville. We called her "The Bone". She was a great car, a total beast! I sold The Bone with 192,000 miles on her to another kid for his first car.

                    '72 Plymouth Duster, horrific green, the body was so clean you could see right through it .... literally. Piece of rusted s%$t. Ended up blowing the straight six while I was tring to 4-wheel it. Ahhh, the good 'ol days :)
                    \'97 Firebird 3.8 ... 1/4 mile = 12.50 (minutes)

                      My first car was a 88' Chevy beretta. It had 220,000 miles on the original engine and it ran great!

                        1973 Chevy Vega. My dad bought it for me to drive to community college. It had an 8-track tape player in it!

                              I learned to drive in a '84 Caprice Wagon, but my own first car was a '90 Acura Integra GS. Did a lot of work to her (converted to 5-spd transmission, redid suspension, lightened her up) and was going to turn her into a race car but decided to sell her and get an affordable RWD sports car instead. Hence why I got a Camaro. I kind of regret getting the Camaro and giving up on the Integra race project...

                                At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
                                Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
