Ok I'm working on wiring up turn signals on my bike. I want to do LED's for the turnsignals in front issue is of course flashing fast. I haven't gotten LED's in the rear yet I'm waiting for my undertail to come in with them in it. Now what I don't know about LEDs is if you put them in the front and in the back with a 460 ohm resistor on both of them to compensate for the voltage will it blink normal or still be fast? I know a normal light bulb will read around 1 ohm of resistance. So when I have LEDs in the front and back will I need to set it up for 1 ohm resistance or will it work fine is my question.

Thats a good question. Im willing to bet you would need the resistor on both ends, but hell, try it without it. Thatd be great if you don't. If so you gotta keep me updated because I have LED directionals integrated into my tailight. They flash fast, but its reasonable. I didn't want to bother with wiring the damn resistors out of the way so they wouldn't melt anything. But if I could just correct it with LED's up front, thatd be nice.

What undertail are you getting? http://www.mototeck.com has nice undertails and they should have (have not looked, but heard) they have front LED kits. They recently merged with Motographics which made other undertails and parts.

Speaking of LEDs.... one in our crew has the Dussult undertail for the Thundercat and the rear LEDs are hard to see in the daylight. He's a noob, so no riding at night with him yet to see how much better it is. Honestly, I like my short stalks with bulbs. Short, out of the way and still bright. But have to say the clean look of the undertail is good :D Consider a flashing unit if you go undertail!! will help with morons not seeing the brake lights.

The one I got is from a guy on ebay. It looks really good I do have to say the guy's customer service sucks *** but the undertail does look pretty bad *** I will get some pics of it tomorrow after I wash it. The LED's I have a blue not exactly legal but just looks sick going down the road. I'm gonna do the same on front also. I mostly use hand signals because people see them better except @ night so thats where they will come in.

I dunno about you guys but its just habit of me to tap my brakes anyway for fear of the a-holes behind me. Plus, those flashing tailights just annoy the freakin hell out of me when I'm riding behind my buddy, its like more distracting then anything else.

You'll keep me updated on the fast signal flash thing right Blue Flame?

Whoever made his kit probably used some crappy LED's. The aftermarket kit for mine (Integrated turn signals) the LED's are actually brighter then the stock ones. They light up the garage without even pressing the brake.

I always, unless emergency stopping, tap the brakes 3-4 times. Flashing cagers behind me. Does not matter if they are 2 cars back or 20. I just got in the habit and also helps when riding in a group.
