• My current Project.

1994 Plymouth Laser FWD Turbo

I'm a fan of DSM, they aren't the funnest thing to work on, but respond to mods VERY well.

It's got 1g rods, weisco pistons, clevite bearings, .02 over, decked......Just got to bolt on all the accessories and lines and see what she can do.

Engine should hold 450-500HP.

sweet, I love when I go to the track and there's like 4 of them there and they all run 10s. I used to have a 1g but it was a 1.8L aka slow as anything.

Nice project! Good luck.

Everytime I talk to a DSM driver, they alway talk about hitting "Fuel Cut". Yet when I ask them what exactly it is, none of them know what it is or how to fix it. Maybe you can explain this to me.

My import engine of choice it the SR20, but the turbo version was never imported. Makes it tougher to get one.

Fuel cut is basically when the computer cuts fuel because the car is making too much boost/power.

you fix it by upgrading the fuel system and tuning the ECU.

Yeah, but what exactly is it, injectors going static, maf maxed, knock.

actually the ECU cuts spark and fuel if the airflow exceeds a "certain" limit.

So your saying the ECU is gay and won't let you make a certain amount of horsepower... That sucks... air = horsepower

Keep us updated on your project, I know the 4G63 can take a lot of abuse.

Car is getting repaited/body damage repaired where it was backed into at the shop very soon

Will begin putting the rest of the car together around the end of this month, beginning of next month.

Hope to have a MEAN DSM by mid summer.

"Basic" Plans
fuel pump rewire
upgrade fuel pump to a 255 pump
big 16g turbo or larger(if I get bigger upgrade injectors)
get an actual hard intake
cheap manual boost controller
